After more than seven-months, and almost $3-million, renovation work at Hedberg Public Library in Janesville is complete. Director Brian McCormick says the last renovation was more than 20-years ago, and the library really needed to be modernized. Work not only freshened up the look, it added or expanded several specialized meeting rooms. McCormick says when he started 12-years ago, the library only had one meeting room. Now it has seven, including one for teens. He’s also pleased, with construction work complete, the library can return to regular hours Monday.
