A local college is working to address a need for more engineers in the area. U-W Whitewater at Rock County is enhancing its arrangement with U-W Platteville to offer Bachelor of Science degrees in mechanical and electrical engineering through the Janesville campus. Interim Dean for the College of Integrated Studies Tricia Clasen says the reinvigorated program will feature an instructor-advisor to help students better navigate the program beginning with the spring 2020 semester. Clasen anticipated more students being able to enroll in the program which makes U-W Whitewater at Rock county an official U-W Platteville Engineering Partnership site.
