The former President of the Beloit NAACP branch who’s accused of embezzling more than $50,000 from the organization fails to show up for her final pre-trial in Rock County Court.
Judge Karl Hanson issued a bench warrant Thursday morning for 63-year-old Birdia McALister, who is charged with theft in a business setting.
McAlister’s trial had been scheduled to start next week. Judge Hanson took it off his calendar until McALister is located.
