A Walworth County man takes a plea deal in a case where he’s accused of injuring his passengers after driving drunk and crashing into a parked vehicle.
26-year-old Jacob A. Flores of Lake Geneva, pleaded guilty this week to two counts of causing injury by intoxicated use of a vehicle. Two other related charges were dismissed and read into the record as part of a plea agreement.
According to the criminal complaint, around 10:00 p.m. on June 9th, Walworth County sheriff’s deputies responded to the crash in the area of County B and Williams Road in the town of Bloomfield.
The injuries to the two passengers in Flores’ back seat included a facial laceration, fractured pelvis, partially collapsed lung, lacerated spleen and internal cranial bleeding.
Flores said he had about five alcoholic drinks in the two hours leading up to the crash.
He is scheduled for sentencing March 3rd.
