A local veteran, who works at the V-A hospital in Madison, has a plan to help make the homes of injured veterans more accessible. Chad Green of Edgerton is planning a free fireworks show on Lake Koshkonong. Green says the goal is to raise money for his nonprofit. He says fireworks sound different with snow on the ground, and look different in the clear and cold winter air. The February first event will include more than fireworks. Green says the show at Highwood Club House in Edgerton will include ice sculpting, the Ho-Chunk dancers, and the release of 100 eco-friendly Chinese lanterns over the lake. Green is looking for donors and has set up a Fireworks on Ice Facebook page.
