Former Beloit superintendent to be paid $75,000

The School District of Beloit will pay former Superintendent Stanley Munro $75,000 as part of a separation agreement.
According to the Beloit Daily News, who obtained the resignation agreement through an open records request, the agreement was signed by Munro and by former school board president Pam Charles on January 16th.
The money will be paid in equal installments on the payroll dates from January 16th through May 31st.
The separation amount includes sick leave and vacation payout which otherwise may have been due under his contract. Munro is also eligible for district-paid health insurance during that period.
The agreement also ends any claims against the district and includes a non-disparagement clause.
The document cites family reasons as the cause for his resignation.
Multiple administrators and staff members accused Munro of lying, creating a toxic work environment and violating Wisconsin Open Records Laws.
