The Boys and Girls Club of Janesville is sending dozens of kids to the nation’s capital. Boys and Girls Club Teen Manager Megan Rebout calls the trip to Washington D.C. a big deal because it’s made possible through a grant from Herb Kohl Philanthropies. Rebout says the the grant sends 40 middle school students to the capital on an all expenses paid trip. Rebout says the trip is often a life changing experience for this age group. An information session for parents and youth to answer questions about applying for scholarships is set for 6:00 o’clock Wednesday night at the Boys and Girls Club.
