Highway 51 south of the Southern Wisconsin Regional Airport is closed in both directions Friday morning while workers remove an overturned semi.
An inspector with the State Patrol says a semitrailer truck hauling trash or recycling from Madison overturned in the southbound ditch just before 4:00 a.m.
The cause of the crash is not clear.
By 9:00 a.m., tow trucks had dragged the semi out of the ditch and onto the pavement. Crews were attaching cables in preparation for tipping the truck back onto its wheels.
Traffic is being detoured around the crash site on Driftwood Drive and Happy Hollow Road.
The road is expected to be reopened around 1:00 or 2:00 p.m.
The crash remains under investigation.
