Local restaurants brace for a loss of revenue after the State Department of Health Services orders an end in dine-in restaurant service. Restaurants will now only be allowed to offer take-out or delivery. Janesville’s Italian House owner Edmond Halabi calls the move devastating for mom-and-pop operations. Halabi says those known for dining room service will have a hard time transitioning to take-out. He adds for many, being forced to close their doors, even for a few weeks, will mean they never open again. He says his heart goes out to the wait staff as well, many counting on the income to pay for mortgages or college expenses.
