Not much of a reach for one local school district to alter its education model to virtual learning. Milton Superintendent Richard Dahman says the district has been using electronic devices for one-to-one learning for the last few years, so students and teachers are already very familiar. Starting Thursday academic support for kindergarten through 12th grade will be offered remotely. Dahman says since many of the students will be isolated, district counselors and social workers are also reaching out to help families with any emotional needs. The district is also planning to start a drive-up student lunch service to begin after next week’s spring break ends.
