The Evansville Economic Development Committee is allowing temporary outdoor sales during the coronavirus pandemic.
Community Development Director Jason Sergeant said they modified their ordinances to temporarily allow drive-up and curbside sales for all businesses.
Sergeant said businesses interested in participating just need to notify the city ahead of time.
In the first day since implementing the change, Sergeant has heard from five businesses planning to take advantage during these difficult times.
The Evansville Chamber of Commerce is also working to help promote local businesses that are still open.
