The Janesville City Manager is encouraging residents to wear face masks in public. Mark Freitag and city staff were all sporting masks during Monday’s Emergency Operations Center public briefing. Freitag says the purpose is for everyone to keep whatever they might have to themselves and not spread it to co-workers or others if they need to leave their home. He says the masks can be purchased, but can also easily be home made. He says a simple handkerchief or bandana can be used.
