Rock County may be on the verge of experiencing a high in the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases. Mercy Hospital Emergency Room Physician and Medical Director for the Janesville Fire Department Dr. James MacNeal says the peak is expected over the next week. MacNeal says all of the hospitals in Rock County have been preparing by been bumping up stores of ventilators, ICU beds, and negative pressure. He says emergency responders are also in good shape for Personal Protective Equipment. MacNeal also urges residents not to let their guards down and continue practicing social distancing, wearing masks in public, and frequently washing their hands.
