A second Janesville senior living facility is dealing with an outbreak of COVID-19.
St. Elizabeth’s announced Monday that two of its patients tested positive for the coronavirus disease over the weekend. One is hospitalized and the other is being isolated in a separate area at the Janesville facility.
The nursing home notified its staff and the family members of patients, and it’s working with the Rock County Public Health Department to conduct contact tracing and reduce the potential spread.
St. Elizabeth’s said it has stepped up its sanitation and cleaning during the pandemic, with more strict standards for its isolation unit.
Earlier this month, Oak Park Place in Janesville announced it had patients and staff test positive for COVID-19, but the county declined to initially identify the facility at the request of Oak Park Place.
