The COVID-19 outbreak is making local parks and trails very popular. Rock County Parks Manager John Traynor says the number of people using the park system this spring has increased ten-fold. Usage is up so much, there was some concern about opening the equestrian trails Friday. Traynor is concerned about potential damage from over use. He some of the overcrowding may be limited because Dane and other surrounding counties are also opening.
