Beloit activists planning peaceful protest in response to Kenosha police shooting

The police shooting of an unarmed black man in Kenosha sparks local and statewide protests.
Kenosha police responded to a domestic incident Sunday evening which led to an officer firing multiple shots at close range into the back of 29-year-old Jacob Blake, who was last known to be in serious condition.
Video of the shooting went viral on social media, and witnesses claimed Blake was attempting to break up a fight between two women.
The Wisconsin Department of Justice is investigating the incident, and the officers involved have been placed on administrative leave.
Local activists from SURJ-Beloit are planning a peaceful protest Monday night starting at 6:00 at Riverside Park. They plan to march along Highway 51 in a demonstration for racial justice.
