The Beloit Police Department may have gotten to the bottom of a large “BOOM” noise that shook the stateline area Tuesday morning.
According to the Department’s Facebook page the sound was a mechanical failure of one of the machines at Behr Iron and Metal in South Beloit.
Beloit Police say although the sound was loud and startling, there were no reported injures from the event.
