Halloween seems to be all but canceled in the City of Beloit.
According to the most recent Beloit report, after careful consideration and review of the recommendations of the Centers for Disease Control and the Wisconsin Department of Health Services, the City of Beloit will not schedule trick-or-treat hours for 2020.
The City of Beloit Says the CDC and Wisconsin DHS both recommend avoiding traditional neighborhood trick-or-treat events this year due to COVID-19. THE CDC has identified trick-or-treating as a higher risk activity.
In addition to not holding trick-or-treating, there will be no downtown events hosted by the Downtown Beloit Association.
City officials refused a request for comment.
