Edie Baran resigns as executive director of Beloit Janesville Symphony Orchestra

After almost five years at the helm, Edie Baran is resigning as Executive Director of the Beloit Janesville Symphony Orchestra.
Baran became Executive Director in March of 2016 and was part of the team responsible for bringing the BJSO back on stage after a year-long hiatus.
According to a news release from Baran, changes on the board of directors resulted in operation changes for the organization. Baran feels it is in the best interest for the BJSO to hire a director who is more in line with the current board’s vision.
Baran’s resignation is effective December 7th. The board of directors has not yet hired a replacement.
