Two people injured in town of Avon crash

The Rock County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a two-vehicle crash that occurred just after 6:00 Wednesday morning in the town of Avon.
According to a news release, a vehicle driven by a 33-year-old Illinois man was headed northbound on County Road T when it failed to stop for the stop sign at the intersection with West Highway 81 and T-boned the passenger side of another vehicle driven by a 63-year-old man.
Both vehicles ended up in the ditch and at one point the Illinois man’s vehicle was on fire.
The Illinois man sustained significant injuries but was able to exit his vehicle on his own.
The other man was pinned inside his vehicle and had to be extricated by first responders.
Both drivers were transported to a local hospital.
The accident remains under investigation.
