Milton School Board members defends vote against replacing iPads

A Milton School Board member defends his vote against selling and replacing all of the district’s Apple devices.
Brian Kvapil says if the district waited until the lease was up on the electronics the district would own them and still sell them to make a profit.
Kvapil says he was also disappointed that the board didn’t go with the highest bidder and instead rated the RFP’s on a set of criteria that the bidders were not aware of.
The district will replace 24 iMac computers in the high school’s digital media classroom, 2,700 iPads for 4K through middle school students and staff, as well as 1,847 MacBooks for high school students and staff.
