The Janesville Police Department is turning to the public to help purchase of another K-9 officer.
Janesville Police say that after nine years of faithful service, Hardy is retiring this fall.
The $16,000 cost of a new K-9 officer is not an expense that’s included in the police department’s regular budget.
A go-fund-me page has been set up to raise the funds with any extra going toward larger, specially designed vehicles, to transport the department’s two K-9’s
