Rock County Board committee hears concerns about Rock Haven nursing home

Current and former Rock Haven employees say the issues at the county-run nursing home extend beyond the COVID-19 vaccine mandate.
A Rock County Board committee held a public listening session Wednesday night to hear concerns about how the facility is run.
Multiple speakers accused the current nursing home administrators of running a toxic work environment lacking leadership and accountability.
Workers said staffing shortages and low employee morale is affecting the quality of care for Rock Haven residents.
Last month, the Rock County Board voted to keep the mandate in place but added exceptions for federally protected medical conditions.
