A local law enforcement officer faces an accusation of domestic battery.
The Gazette reports that Edgerton Police Lieutenant Randy Meehan was taken into custody last Wednesday after an apparent physical altercation with his wife.
Meehan is accused of grabbing his wife’s arm, dragging her across the living room, and pushing her down onto a couch during an argument on March 8th.
His wife filed for a temporary restraining order the next day and it was granted on March 10th.
Meehan is currently on paid administrative leave.
