Beloit man sentenced to prison for stalking, drug charges

A Beloit man will spend four years in prison after pleading guilty stalking and drug charges.
Rock County Judge Karl Hanson sentenced 42-year-old Dante McAlister Thursday to four additional years of extended supervision after his prison sentence.
McAlister was accused of a stalking incident that left a Janesville family afraid in their own home.
He and his attorney pointed to a drug addiction as the root cause of his behavior, and he apologized to the victims in court as he took responsibility for his actions.
McAlister plans to undergo drug treatment in prison and hopes to start his life over after his sentence is complete.
