
Forward Janesville’s new President and CEO is seriously injured in a motorcycle accident in Illinois.
According to a news release from the Batavia Police Department, 50-year-old Michael Osborne was headed southbound on North Washington Street just before 11:00 Wednesday night when a northbound vehicle entered his lane.
Osborne attempted to stop his Harley and was thrown from the bike into the other vehicle.
While Osborne was wearing a helmet, he remains hospitalized for his injuries.
The driver of the other vehicle, 50-year-old Sandra J. Buerer was not injured.
Alcohol is being investigated as a contributing factor to the crash.

The Forward Janesville family was stunned to learn today that Mike Osborne was involved in a traffic accident Wednesday evening in Batavia, Illinois where he lives. The announcement of Mike’s selection as Forward Janesville’s next president appeared in the local press this morning. Forward Janesville Board Chair Tim Lindau is with Mike’s family.
