The new year brings an additional ambulance to the city of Janesville’s firefighter-paramedic service. This 5th paramedic ambulance will be based at Fire House #Three on the city’s west side. Officials say in addition to assisting with EMS calls, it will help with adding more personnel to fire incidents, to aid with fire ground operations, as well as firefighter and resident safety. In a news release, the President of the Janesville Fire Fighters Association says this accomplishment would not have happened without the support of the citizens of Janesville and surrounding townships.
