After a recent steady increase, new daily confirmed cases of COVID-19 are falling in Rock County.
Rock County Public Health Department Epidemiologist Nick Zupan say most recently Rock County was averaging about 160 new cases per day.
Zupan says the number is still high though with the previous peak in November of 2020 at 170 new cases per day.
Zupan says to date over 35,000 cases have been reported among Rock County residents.
Zupan says so far 63 percent of the Rock County population have gotten at least one dose of the vaccine, while 60 percent have received both doses. Just 30 percent of those who are eligible have gotten a booster shot.
