Masks now optional in Milton schools

Students in the Milton School District will no longer be required to wear masks inside district facilities or at events.  The school board Monday night voted unanimously to end the universal mask mandate.  Superintendent Richard Dahman cited declining infection numbers in making the recommendation to the school board.  Dahman did warn the pandemic is not over, and the district could make adjustments if the situation changes.  The two major exceptions will be asymptomatic students returning to class before the end of ten-days of quarantine, and anyone riding a school bus.
