A Beloit business is expanding.
Welder’s Supply Company in Beloit looks to take over the former Cub Foods property at 20 Park Avenue.
Beloit Community Development Director Julie Christensen presented a zoning map amendment to the City Council.
Christensen says they also purchased 10 and 20 Park Avenue and are asking the City to vacate the Western half of Prospect Street.
The request is to rezone the parcels from C-3 Community Commercial District and PLI Public Lands and Institutions to M-1 Limited Manufacturing.
The City Council held a public hearing and approved the first reading of the ordinance this week.
