A Local Representative’s bills pass through the Wisconsin State Assembly

The Wisconsin State Assembly passes two bills authored by local Representative Amy Loudenbeck. One of the bills supports Mike Johnson Life Care & Early Intervention Services Grant by expanding the scope of what grant funds can be used for to include preventive services besides just treatment for those vulnerable to HIV. The second bill includes two parts. It would allow public providers to submit their uncompensated costs for Medicaid ambulance services and receive Federal matching funds to draw down additional dollars supporting EMS. The private ambulance has a similar program. They would do a self-assessment and use it to draw down additional Federal funds to pay for uncompensated costs as well. She says she expects both bills to get through the senate.
