A Beloit child sexual assault suspect’s preliminary hearing is pushed back almost two weeks because he’s having trouble securing an attorney.
Kevin Smith with the Public Defender’s Office says at least 15 attorneys had passed on 30-year-old Christopher S. Grider’s case.
Grider is charged with first degree sexual assault with a person under the age of 13 and repeated sexual assault of a child.
Grider’s preliminary hearing was originally scheduled for February 18th.
He’s due back in Rock County Court for an adjourned initial appearance Thursday at 3:00 p.m.
