The first sign of spring appears to be here. The Blackhawk Golden K Kiwanis “Truck on Ice” is now in the water of Janesville’s Traxler Park Lagoon. Club spokesman Glenn Disrude says their “sinking” committee’s best guess is the truck sank through last Thursday afternoon. Disrude expresses surprise in the trucks early demise. He says the winner, who guessed closest to when it would sink, will have to wait until the truck is pulled out of the lagoon to check the official time on a clock in the engine compartment. That’ll have to wait until most of the ice is gone.
