The city of Milton is removing its payment drop box outside city hall. City Clerk Jenny Salvo says the decision was made after a court ruling indicated the box shouldn’t be used to collect absentee ballots. Salvo says ballots can either be mailed or returned to city hall during normal business hours. The drop box was also used to collect utility or other city payments. She says drop boxes for some of those purposes have been set up in the police department and at the city garage.
