A local tourism marketing organization works to take the confusion out of starting a new event or growing and developing an existing event.
Janesville Area Convention and visitors Bureau Executive Director Christine Rebout says member of the public are invited to a free symposium on April 10th from 1:00 until 4:30 p.m. at the Janesville Performing Arts Center.
The Special Event Symposium will feature ten 20-minute seminars on a variety of topics related to hosting a medium to large-scale public event. Topics include: permitting and licensing, marketing, volunteer recruitment, fundraising, insurance, merchandise sales, ticketing and strategic growth.
Rebout says that while the event is free, you need to register in advance on the Janesville Area Convention and visitors Bureau website.
