
One out of every three chicken nuggets produced in the world uses technology from a company looking at opening a repair shop in Janesville.
Janesville Economic Development Director Jimsi Kuborn says GEA Mechanical Equipment is seeking tax incremental financing to construct a new 85,000 square foot facility on Enterprise Drive that would employ 74 people full-time.
Kuborn says GEA plans to invest about $19 million in the project.
The Janesville City Council will consider creating a new tax incremental financing district, a TIF development incentive, and a TIF jobs incentive in three separate votes on Monday night.
