The Rock County Fair will be expanding how they honor veterans at this years fair.
Board Director Abbey Gasser says they turned to the community for applicants to be honored on stage before the Craig Morgan Concert. Gasser said all the applicants were remarkable, but that five will get honored.
Gasser says a 50/50 raffle fundraiser will be held to help homeless vets and the winner will be announced on stage before the concert. The proceeds go towards a project to restore a downtown Edgerton building to help house homeless veterans.
Veterans Appreciation day at the fair is this Thursday July 28th.
