Westminster, Colorado officials speak out about their choice of Janesville City Manager Mark Freitag to be the next City manager there.
Mayor Nancy McNally says 33 people originally applied, out of those seven were interviewed. After narrowing it down to three finalists, Freitag was selected as the final candidate.
The contract the Westminster City Council will vote on August 22nd includes a salary of $265,000 a year with a vehicle allowance of $625 a month.
Freitag’s salary in Janesville currently sits at around $176,000.
He has yet to officially accept an offer from the City of Westminster and has not resigned from his job in Janesville yet.
