Mark Freitag is one step closer to becoming the City Manager of Westminster, Colorado after their city council approved an employee agreement on the position Monday night.
Council member Sarah Nurmela voiced some concerns about Freitag, saying that running a city requires flexibility and that Freitag prided himself on his yes or no approach to his leadership.
Council member Bruce Baker voiced his support for Freitag, saying that Freitag was the best choice and we is well prepared for the role based on his experiences in Janesville.
The employee agreement passed on a 5-2 vote at Wesminter’s city council meeting.
