Sheriff candidates participate in forum hosted by League of Women Voters and NAACP

The candidates for Rock County Sheriff square off in a forum hosted by the League of Women Voters and the NAACP.
Democrat Captain Curtis Fell said his top priorities would be addressing the correctional officer shortage, re-establishing policy procedures, and keeping the jail construction project on track.
Independent Former Deputy Craig Keller says he wants to build better communication within the community and the sheriff’s office, focus on accountability, and get involved in more programs outside the jail.
When asked what he would change about how the Sheriff’s Office is run, Keller said he’s like to get more in tune with the community. Fell said the Sheriff’s Office could expand it’s minority recruitment efforts.
