A 30-year-old Beloit man enters not guilty pleas on charges related to a search warrant the Rock County Sheriff’s Office executed in June.
Deputy Garrett Whitehead testified at Tadereal Tavarres’ preliminary hearing Monday afternoon in Rock County Court.
Whitehead said that Tavarres sold cocaine that turned out to be laced with fentanyl to a confidential informant on three occasions.
Court Commissioner Stephen Meyer found that enough evidence had presented to determine that a felony had probably been committed by Tavarres and bound him over for trial on four counts of manufacture or delivery of cocaine, and four counts of manufacture or delivery of fentanyl.
A jury trial is being planned for a future date.
