
Three people are arrested after a shooting on I-39 leads to a police chase across the Illinois border into Wisconsin. The Illinois State Police says troopers located a vehicle described in the shooting Thursday night in LaSalle County. Troopers followed the car when a passenger in the vehicle opened fire toward and hit their squad car. A state police helicopter then located the vehicle heading north toward Monroe. As the vehicle crossed the state line, Illinois State Police alert Clinton Police, which deployed stop sticks. After the vehicle runs out of gas, the three involved were taken into custody and charged with several drug offenses. Taken into custody are 41-year-old Michael Winch of Brooklyn, who is charged with Probation Violation, Maintain Vehicle for Drug Trafficking, Possession with Intent to Deliver Cocaine, Possession with Intent to deliver Fentanyl, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Possession of THC; 43-year-old Heather Hyatt of Sun Prairie, charged with Manufacture/Delivery Fentanyl, Manufacture/Delivery Cocaine, Possession of Cocaine/Base, and Maintain Vehicle for Drug Trafficking; and 38-year-old Michael Goodman of Madison, charged with charged with Vehicle Operator Fleeing/Eluding an Officer, Reckless Driving, Failure to Stop at Stop Sign, Maintain Vehicle for Drug Trafficking, Manufacture/Delivery Fentanyl, and Manufacture/Deliver Cocaine. The three are being held in the Rock County Jail awaiting a bond court hearing.
