A 20-year-old Beloit man who’s charged in connection with a May shooting at the Rockvale Mobile Home Park can’t secure a public defendant and has his preliminary hearing moved back.
Dakaota Davidson appeared in front of Court Commissioner Stephen Meyer Monday afternoon, and Meyer noted that the public defendant office had tried seven times to find an attorney for Davidson, but failed to do so.
Meyer then found good cause to delay Davidson’s preliminary hearing to Friday, with the hopes that he will be able to secure a public defendant before then.
Davidson is charged with one count of attempted first degree intentional homicide and nine counts of first degree recklessly endangering safety.
