Requests are now being taken by the school district of Janesville for school transfers or placements within the district.
Assistant Superintendent Scott Garner says they want to give parents the option to move schools if necessary due to things like life changes and they really try to focus on the elementary school level.
Garner says job placement for the parents, convince of location of the school, and wanting to make sure kids grow up with a peer group are all reasons they typically see of intra-district transfers.
Parents and guardians have from now until December 15th to submit an application to transfer their kids within the district.
