The School District of Janesville is gearing up for it’s 14th annual Delivering Bags of Hope.
School District of Janesville Communications Officer Patrick Gasper says Delivering Bags of Hope was started many years ago by the United Auto Worker’s Union; and continued by the school district when the General Motors assembly plant closed.
This year’s effort raised more than $45,000.
Gasper says the district is in need of volunteers to help pack and deliver two weeks worth of groceries to more than 350 families and 50 senior citizens on Saturday, December 17th.
