Janesville has seen a decent amount of snow accumulation over the last couple of nights, but the cities plows and staff appear to be ready for the job.
Operations Director Maggie Darr says the crews were out all night Wednesday night into Thursday morning, and will be out again Friday morning to plow out side streets so the accumulation doesn’t freeze before the weekend.
Darr says the city implemented the snow emergency Friday because they were didn’t want to do a full plow and have additional snow accumulate on the streets and get icy.
Janesville currently has a snow emergency in effect until 3:00 Friday afternoon.
