An electrical problem is being blamed for a weekend house fire in the Town of Beloit. Firefighters were called to a structure fire just before 2:30 a.m. Sunday in the 400 block of East Community Drive. The first crews to arrive found smoke coming from the roof. Officials say firefighters from the city of Beloit, Town of Turtle, Orfordville, and Janesville all assisted in quickly bringing the fire under control without any injuries to the two occupants or their pets. Family is assisting the residents with temporary housing.
