Another Rock County Solar Project located outside of Beloit is making progress towards completion at the end of this year.
Alliant Energy Representative Chris Caporale says 60% of the site work has been completed and about 30% of the underground electrical cable has been installed.
Caporale says the project is expected to be operational by December of this year, but they could potentially begin putting out electricity in a test setting in July or August.
According to Alliant, once completed the project will generate enough energy to power around 17,000 homes.
