A fan propped in a window ignites and fills a Janesville home with smoke.
The Janesville Fire Department says 19 firefighters were called to the residence on the 100 block of Clark Street just before 9:30 Saturday night.
While the fire was able to be put out with a fire extinguisher, crews remained on scene to vent the smoke from the home.
Although the fire caused a total of about $10,000 in damage, the family that lives at the residence was not displaced.
