The Janesville recreation division is giving hikers the chance to find spring wild flowers in one of Southern Wisconsin’s most historic parks.
Recreation Director Shelley Slapak says they’re partnering with Friends of Riverside Park and the Rock County Conservationists for a group hike on the Devil’s Staircase Saturday morning.
Slapak says the group will depart from the Riverside Park North Pavilion, near the trailhead, at 10:00am and will return to the shelter by noon.
The hike is free and open to all ages, but does have a participant limit of 25 with advance registration required.
Slapak says people can register by visiting the city’s website or by visiting the recreation division in city hall.
